For at least two young ladies, Friday the 13th will be a lucky day.

The 2018 Miss Paris Pageant is set for Friday, April 13, at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium of Paris High School. The theme is “Puttin’On the Ritz.”

Advanced tickets are available from any contestant for $4 each before April 11. Tickets at the door will be $5. Reigning 2017 Miss Paris Megan Brown, 16-year-old daughter of Melissa and Doug Graupman, and 2017 Junior Miss Paris Morghan Crain, the 13-year-old daughter of Audria and Matt Crain, will be joining contestants on stage to crown the new winners.

The 2018 Miss Paris contestants:

• Shadora Foy, 15, daughter of Carolyn Lewis and David Foy

• Emily Havens, 16, daughter of Susan and Charles Havens

• Aurea Rucker, 16, daughter of Angela Thomason and Brian Fendrick

• Maariko Williams, 17, daughter of Miyuki and Andrew Williams

The 2018 Junior Miss Paris contestants:

• Miranda Billings, 12, daughter of Dana and Joey Billings

• Ashley Burke, 14 year old daughter of Christina and Ian Burke

• Maura Crusha, 12, daughter of Anna and Gary Crusha

• Gracie Hatton, 14, daughter of Megan and Casey Hatton

• Makayla Hayes, 14, daughter of Heather Mozingo and John Brokes

• Emily Vaughn, 13, daughter of Celeste Vaughn and Justin Minks

A new addition to this year’s pageant is “Little Sister” participants. These young ladies will not be competing, but will be appearing on stage with all the contestants in the opening number and introduced individually to the audience.

• Sierra Shivers, 7, daughter of April Turnbough and Rodney Shivers

• Ella Totten, 7, daughter of Mandy and Mark Totten

• Lily Wheaton, 7, daughter of Denise Redington and Shannon Wheaton

Entertainment will provided by Billie Jo Hatton, Amber Chapman, various Paris High School music ensembles, the Missouri Military Academy Choir and Janet’s Dance Studio. Light concessions will be available at intermission from Paris FBLA.

The Alpha Phi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi began sponsoring Miss Paris in 2000 and continues to offer this unique opportunity to our local young ladies today.
