Hannibal Free Public Library is sponsoring a free chess tournament on Saturday, Nov. 18. There will be adult and junior divisions, and trophies will be awarded to the winner in each division. Chess players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate. There is no entry fee. Spectators are also welcome.
The tournament will be held on the third floor at the Library, 200 S. 5th Street, Hannibal. To register for the Tournament, call the Library at 573-221-0222, or register on the day of the tournament beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Library. The first round begins at 1 p.m. Each player will play at least three games. The tournament will end by 5:15 p.m., or when all games are completed. The Library is located at 200 South Fifth Street in Hannibal.

The Hannibal Library Chess Club meets each Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Library. Chess players of all ages and skill levels are welcome.
