The 2017 Ribfest is returning to the Mark Twain Cave Complex on Saturday, Sept. 9 and promises plenty of smoky, tender ribs to enjoy.

Rib lovers, celebrate. The 2017 Ribfest is returning to the Mark Twain Cave Complex on Saturday, Sept. 9 and promises plenty of smoky, tender ribs to enjoy.

Proceeds from the annual event will benefit the Hannibal Free Clinic.

The rib competition goes from noon to 5 p.m. and visitors are the judges. Due to high demand, twice the amount of ribs will be available at the event. Additionally, 300 pounds of wings will be prepared by 14 local award winning BBQ teams will be available.

The event is family friendly.

Beverages will be available for purchase.

Live music will include the Tzers, playing music favorites from the '50s, '60s and '70s for noon to 2 p.m. and Steppin' Back from 2 to 5 p.m.
