Jazz pianist Andrew Ouellette will perform with “Katie Wood and Friends: Jazz” from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday Aug. 5, at the Rustic Oak Pub and Grill in Hannibal. Wood’s trio performs jazz standards.

Jazz pianist Andrew Ouellette will perform with “Katie Wood and Friends: Jazz”  from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday Aug. 5, at the Rustic Oak Pub and Grill in Hannibal. Wood’s trio  performs jazz standards. 

Bassist Andy Hainz of St. Louis will complete the trio.

Ouellette, a Hannibal native and the son of Dr. Priscilla Long and Dr. David Ouellette of Hannibal, is a pianist, composer and educator in the Kansas City area. He has shared the stage with many nationally and internationally recognized artists including Bobby Watson, Roy Hargrove, Tivon Pennicott, Lonnie McFadden, Lisa Henry, Marilyn Maye, The sons of Brasil, Hermon Mehari and more. 

Both Ouellette and Wood studied jazz with the late Jason Dugger. “Jason was both gifted and giving.  He encouraged so many musicians of all ages. He was an outstanding teacher and mentor,” Wood said.
