Cool down in the heat of summer with some cold brews at Fiesta Del Sol, slated for Saturday, June 24 in Hannibal’s Central Park.

The annual event celebrating the summer solstice will take place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. And feature music, food and beverages.

The proceeds go to support the Hannibal community in a variety of ways through the Hannibal Rotary Club.

The beverages will be provided by Mark Twain Distributing and feature Boulevard Brewing Company of Kansas city and Kraftig Brewing Company of St. Louis.

Musicians will hit the stage at Central Park beginning at 11 a.m. and feature several local musicians.

Murray McFarlane will kick things off at 11 a.m. with Seth Wade performing as “Frate” from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Local standout Liz Bentley performs from 1:30 to 3 p.m. with Burnt Toest from 3 to 5 p.m.

Al Holliday and the East Side Rhythm Band, hailing from St. Louis, will perform from 5 to 7 p.m. And Kent Burnside with the Flood Brothers will close out the event performing Blues music from 7 to 9 p.m.

Included with admission is three separate sampling times.

Boulevard brews ranging from “Dark Truth” to “Ginger Lemon Radler” and variety of flavors in between will be available from noon to 2 p.m. and again with a different set from 4 to 6 p.m.

Kraftig’s sampling team will provide beverages from 2 to 5 p.m.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door for ages 18 and up. Children under 17 are free. Tickets are available at County Market or at hannibalfiestadelsol.com .

The event is family friendly, but you must be 21 to drink.
