The sound of alternative rock, pop and DJ/hosts will take over Culver-Stockton College during its annual Hillstock event. The 17th annual Hillstock event will take place Saturday, May 6, on the quad starting at 2 p.m.
The sound of alternative rock, pop and DJ/hosts will take over Culver-Stockton College during its annual Hillstock event. The 17th annual Hillstock event will take place Saturday, May 6, on the quad starting at 2 p.m., and in case of rain the event will move to the Fieldhouse. Bands being featured include Reverse Order, The Madison Letter and Throwback Time Machine.
Reverse order is an alternative rock band from New Jersey who was a quarter finalist on season seven on America’s Got Talent. They are known for their infectious, catchy melodies and have made a powerful impact in the U.S. and internationally. The Madison Letter is a four-man band formed in February 2010. The band has been honing their craft and developing a fresh blend of pop/rock with soul/R&B influences. The final guest appearance is Throwback Time Machine, the craziest video dance party this side of the 21st century. By Blending DJ skills with original video, a huge dose of on-stage audience interaction, dance-offs, stage-props and impromptu karaoke session Throwback Time Machine delivers a show unlike any other. Hillstock also features some of Culver-Stockton’s very own talent; Jared Burke, Megan Glynn and Shaila O’Dear will perform throughout the show. The order of performances is:
The Reveres Order: 2 -3:15 p.m.
Jared Burke: 3:30-4 p.m.
The Madison Letter: 4:14-5:30 p.m.
Shaila O’Dear and Megan Glynn: 5:45-6:15 p.m.
Throwback Time Machine: 6:20-8:30 p.m.
Hillstock is run by Culver-Stockton’s Campus Programming Council. There will be food, prizes, t-shirts, and more available. The event is free and open to the public.
