Dr. James and Sandra Thornton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelsi Brooke, to Jeffery David Pio. Jeff is the son of Rex and Sue Pio of Edgerton, Kan.
The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Hannibal High School and a 2006 graduate of Mid-America Nazarene University, with a bachelor of arts degree in organizational leadership. She is employed as a project coordinator with Kansasbio in Lenexa, Kan.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Gardner-Edgerton High School in Gardner, Kan. He is a 2008 graduate of Kansas State University, with a bachelor of arts degree in agricultural business. Jeff is employed by Farms Technology LLC in Overland Park, Kan., as a commodities operations manager.
The wedding is planned for 4:30 p.m. Oct. 24, 2009, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Hannibal. An outdoor barbecue reception will follow.
