Edward P. and Mary Lou Montgomery of Hannibal are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Anne (Katy) Montgomery, to Joseph Emerson Hough. He is the son of Marie Hough of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Emerson Hough of Tulsa, Okla.
The prospective bride is a 1999 graduate of Hannibal High School. She earned a BA in business administration and marketing from Lindenwood University in 2003, and an MBA in marketing from Lindenwood University in 2005. Before moving to Tulsa, she was employed at Lindenwood University as director of alumni affairs. She is currently employed by The University of Tulsa as coordinator of alumni relations.
Hough is a 1999 graduate of Broken Arrow High School in Broken Arrow, Okla. He earned a BS in exercise and sports science from The University of Tulsa in 2003. He is currently enrolled as a full-time student in the petroleum engineering program at The University of Tulsa. He will graduate with a BS in petroleum engineering in 2010.
The wedding is planned for 7:30 p.m. Aug. 2, 2008, at the Venus Garden at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nev. After a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, they will reside in Tulsa. A reception is planned for Aug. 16 in Tulsa.
