Hannibal High School’s annual honors and awards were given out Tuesday, May 20. These are amone the awards.
The Northeast Missouri Community Foundation (NMCF) was involved in the honors and awards program in facilitating one award and four scholarships. Ashlee Bross received the Margaret Gould Dent Memorial Award, Jared Tate and Corey Bryant have received the Madelyn Bertram Scholarship and Jordan Campbell received the Class of 1955 Scholarship.
Jared is the son of Mark and Christine Tate. He is planning to attend the University of Missouri in Columbia. Corey Bryant is the son of Lisa and Steve Bryant. He is also planning to attend the University of Missouri in Columbia. Jordan is the daughter of Jeanne Viorel. She will be attending Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla. Ashlee is the daughter of Lori Schutte and Jeff Bross. She is going to Marymount Manhattan College.
There is a new scholarship: the Brent William Esicar Memorial Golf Scholarship. This scholarship was created by Brent’s family to celebrate the life of Brent, a former member of the Hannibal High School golf team, who lost his life in an accident on Oct. 10, 2007, in Hannibal. Tyler Allen, son of Kurt and Michelle Allen, was selected for this scholarship. He will attend William Jewell College in Kansas City.
