Culver-Stockton College alum Ann A. Steffen Winkelman has left the school $171,000 for student scholarships.
The gift has been added to the Charles and Ann Winkelman Endowed Scholarship. Winkelman, a 1933 C-SC graduate, died in January 2008. She was a teacher in Steffenville and LaBelle schools.
”Ann cared deeply about her alma mater in many ways, and in particular, enjoyed the opportunity to help a new generation of students by supporting the scholarship program at Culver-Stockton College,” Eric Barkley, director of advancement and alumni programs, said in a statement. “This tremendous gift will impact our students greatly and will further Ann's wonderful legacy on the Hill. Our community of learning is most grateful.”
