Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department Director Andy Dorian accepts a $7,980 check from David Vance, resource forester with Missouri Department of Conservation, funding a majority of the removal of 10 hazardous trees in Riverview Park.

The grant is part of the Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance (Trim) Program.

The hazardous trees were removed last November. The trees included three white pine, three ash, a pin oak, basswood, sugar maple and red bud.
