The Hannibal Cavemen’s uniforms for their inaugural season in the Prospect League will be unveiled at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at Clemens Field. The public is welcome to attend the event.
According to team co-owner Bob Hemond, the uniforms sport a vintage style that harkens back to a bygone era.
“The Cavemen uniforms have a look from the past,” he said. “We feel that the uniforms are befitting in such a historic setting as Clemens Field and will add to the fan experience at the ball park.”
The uniforms will incorporate several combinations that reflect styles that were common in the late 1930s and early 1940s when Clemens Field was in its first grand stages.
The newly renovated ballpark will host its first Prospect League game at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, when the Cavemen host the DuPage Dragons.
Tickets for the opening game, as well as any other home game throughout the 2009 Cavemen season, may be purchased at the Hannibal Cavemen office or on-line at www.startickets.com. Season tickets are also available and can be obtained at the Hannibal Cavemen office, 403 Warren Barrett Dr.
