Klingner & Associates, P.C. of Columbia and Hannibal won an Honor Award for its project "Northeast Correctional Center – Heating Loop Replacement" in the Annual Engineering Excellence Awards 2017 Competition of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Missouri. The project was designed for the Northeast Correctional Center in Bowling Green.
Klingner designed a project that could be constructed within a fully occupied correctional facility, with uninterrupted utility services or other disruptions. Ultimately more than 20,000 lineal feet of pipe was installed in over 5,000 lineal feet of trench on-time and on budget, avoiding a threatened shut down of the entire facility and relocation of thousands of incarcerated offenders.
Nineteen Missouri firms in three different award categories were recognized for excellence in engineering before a large audience of engineers, clients and government officials at an Awards Luncheon held Feb. 4, in Chesterfield, Mo. Yearly, the ACEC-MO Engineering Excellence Awards Competition recognizes the quality engineering design that member firms can produce and tells their membership and the public about this engineering quality design.
Incorporated in 1985 as Klingner & Associates, P.C., with origins dating to 1905, the firm offers a wide range of professional services including mechanical-electrical- plumbing, civil, environmental and structural engineering, as well as architecture, planning, and land surveying.
