   Get ready, Hannibal.

   The invasion is coming,

Hundreds of young people from around Northeast Missouri will swarm the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center at 301 Warren Barrett Drive for the annual CHART Teen Task Force Health Fair.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Dozens of booths will offer all kinds of good information, and there’ll be plenty of food, music and fun.

Soaring high

If you didn’t get to see the eagles in Clarksville, Hannibal, Quincy or Keokuk, check out Canton on Saturday.

Eagle Day is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mississippi Park along the riverfront. Binoculars and scopes will be set up so you can get a good look.

If you’d like to plan other activities on your visit, log on to www.showmecanton.com.

Meet the Beatles

OK, John and George are no longer with us, so we can’t have a concert by the originals.

But the group Liverpool Legends will bring the pageantry and musical genius of the Fab Four to life Saturday.

The group, which performs regularly in Branson and has been handpicked by George Harrison’s, Louise, brings its show to the Quincy Junior High Morrison Theater at 7 p.m.

a Beatles re-enactment group, will perform in Quincy.

The concert will feature Beatles tunes and music from the solo careers of the four original members.

Advance tickets are $25 and are available in Quincy at Hy-Vee on Broadway, Vegas Music and Kirlin's Hallmark stores in the Quincy Mall or at Sixth and Maine. Tickets will be $30 at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Arthritis Foundation.

Heads up

Get your beads and your masks.

We’ve got a big blowout to attend before Lent.

Check back here next week and I’ll tell you where to get your Mardi Gras on.
