Cookie walk, sleigh rack ride planned

The New Canton, Ill., Development Council will be hosting its second annual cookie walk from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. The cookie walk will be followed by a brisk “sleigh-rack ride” and caroling around New Canton.
All the cookies will be donated by the community. Anyone interested in donating cookies or even home-made candy is welcome. Tara Rueb (217) 440-9981 and Chad Camerer (217) 426-4009) are coordinating the even.
The rumor is that there will be a special visitor for the kids and the kids at heart as well.
The “sleigh ride” will begin as soon after the cookie walk as possible.
A free will donation will be accepted and all proceeds will go to the further “renovation” of the New Canton ball field.
