Pea Ridge Community Church will have its annual Whole Hog Roast and Auction beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Philadelphia Community Center in Philadelphia, Mo. The menu will be pork, buns, home-made bread, cottage potatoes, baked beans, green beans, corn, relish tray, pie, cake, tea and coffee. The auction will begin at 7 p.m.
Some of the things to be auctioned will be a tied flour sack quilt, hand-painted Christmas ornaments, birdhouses, homemade pies and bread, a truckload of firewood, and more.
