Panthers win sectional title

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Palmyra girls golf team made history Monday afternoon.

Palmyra shot a team score 424 to win the Class 1 Sectional 3 championship at the Kirksville Country Club. Palmyra topped Kirksville by 19 shots.

Olivia Sublette was Palmyra's low scorer with a 101, while Reigan Parsons carded 103.

Samantha Hirner shot 107 to round out Palmyra's top three golfers.

PALMYRA, Mo. | The Palmyra boys basketball team will get another shot at Monroe City after winning the district semifinal game against Centralia on Thursday night.
Centralia gave everything they had and had an opportunity to tie it up, but senior guard Guy Moran's 3-point attempt hit the rim and bounced out. Palmyra junior guard Aaron Stamper was fouled after grabbing the rebound and drained to free throws to secure a 53-48 victory.
