Members of Cub Scout Pack 101 handed out fliers in Oakwood neighborhoods Saturday, Feb, 27, kicking off a food drive that netted stacks of food for a local church food bank.

Scouts brought the food they gathered to the First United Methodist Church Fishes and Loaves food bank Saturday, March 5. After the scouts handed out fliers about their food drive, the food piled up over the course of a week.

The scouts who visited the church with Cubmaster Matt Lawson included Waylon Hall, Brandon Kaylor, Jacob Booker, Parker Willing, Leland Dowling, Nicholas Lawson, Louis Perfetto, Boy Scout Noah Lawson, Noah Heimer, Kaleb Johnson, Braden Booker.

The scouts are also gearing up for the annual Pinewood Derby, beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Arch United Methodist Church, 56017 Ocean Wave Drive, in Hannibal.

Any active scouts and parents are invited to attend a campout at the POPS Club on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday June 5. The POPS Club holds the Pack Charter, serving as a meeting place for the scouts.
