  • Jeri Ann (Ravenscraft) Quilling, 52, of Palmyra, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Jeri was born March 13, 1962, in Hannibal, Missouri to David Lee Ravenscraft and Elizabeth Louise “Betty” Kroeger Boland.
She was surrounded by her loving and attractive family, including her soul mate of a husband of 21 years, William “Bill” Quilling of Palmyra, MO and her handsome son Schyler Losson, and his lovely girlfriend Amber Hartvigsen of Hannibal, MO. She is also survived by a various cast of characters of family members including her sister, Jill Ravenscraft and brother John (Cindy) Ravenscraft, both of Hannibal, MO.; step-father, Tom Boland of Hannibal, step siblings: Kathie (Stel) Pontikes of St. Louis, Mo., Mary (Tom) Clancey of Columbus, OH, Mike (Linda) Boland of Winnsboro, TX, and Bobby (Lynn) Boland of Hannibal; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her fabulous mother Elizabeth (Betty) Boland and father David Ravenscraft welcomed her with open arms into the pearly gates.
Always the class clown, Jeri Ann made her mark at Palmyra High School and graduated in 1980. Being a true Palmyra Panther and decedent of the Kroeger name, Jeri Ann was scrappy. So scrappy in fact, she showed cancer who’s the boss four times. Having survived Hodgkin’s (1980), Breast (2004), Uterine (2006), and Thyroid Cancer (2008), she rightful earned a wing of rooms at Barnes Jewish Hospital named in her honor.
With a fierce spirit and tough grit she decided to sell the heck out of cars at Tom Boland Ford for over 25 years! She was more than a sales representative she was a car relationship expert. She developed a loyal fan base of customers, based solely on her award winning personality.
Being a true Missouri girl, Jeri loved her Missouri sports. From St. Louis Cardinal Baseball to Kansas City Chiefs Football, Jeri was always rooting for the home team. To spread her joyous love of Jesus, Jeri was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palmyra and also attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Hannibal and St. Francis Catholic Church in Quincy. When she wasn’t making everyone laugh, she could be found fishing on the farm with her husband or spending time with her beloved son.
A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palmyra. Father Alex Ekka, Father Michael Quinn, and Deacon Robert Leake will officiate. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Hannibal, Missouri. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel with a Prayer Service at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Flower Children-Relay for Life ACS Team.
