Helen Biddle Hayes Williams, 69, of Oshkosh, Wis., and formerly of Hannibal, Mo., died peacefully in her sleep at 4:42 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, with family at her side.
Helen was born on April 5, 1945, in Hannibal to Chester Biddle and Hazel Tindall.
Helen was married twice. Once to Terry R. Hayes and once to Ralph Williams, both from Hannibal.
She is survived by two children, Diana (Charles) Anderson of Kaukauna, Wis., and Terry K. Hayes of Hannibal. She also has two grandchildren, Kyrstn (Dan) Bergh and Philip Peters, both of Kaukauna, and one great-grandson, Oliver Bergh, also from Kaukauna.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Shinn and Dorothy Whitaker.
Helen was a devout Christian woman deeply involved with her church while she was still able. She enjoyed singing and hearing hymns and working for her church.
Helen is to be cremated and her ashes spread by her two children, Diana and Terry, at a special location.
There will be no funeral services, but memorials can be made in Helen’s name to help in the study of dementia.
