The Pike County, Ill., Sheriff’s Department provided the following report: Its officers were called to the scene of a two-car accident involving a police car and a motorist.
The accident was in the intersection of a public alley behind Heaton Chevrolet.
The city patrolman, Darrold Wayne Frisbie, 60, was in a marked patrol car and was southbound in the alley. He was on routine patrol and was not responding to a call.
