State Highway 79 south of Hannibal has been re-opened after Mississippi River flooding caused its closure for five days.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) reported the highway’s re-opening on Friday, July 11.

MoDOT crews have been cleaning the area of debris and mud and will continue to monitor river levels.
