A 45-year-old Hannibal man was killed when struck by a tractor-trailer on Wednesday night in Hannibal.

A 45-year-old Hannibal man was killed when struck by a tractor-trailer on Wednesday night in Hannibal.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap happened at 10:21 p.m. on U.S. 36, 0.25 of a mile east of U.S. 61.

Reportedly Kenneth L. Rosenburg of Hannibal was walking in the roadway when struck by an eastbound 2009 International tractor trailer driven by 24-year-old Ivan Kolnookov of Chicago, Ill.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County coroner Darrell McCoy at 11:03 p.m. Rosenburg’s body was taken to the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.

According to McCoy an autopsy is not planned.
