  • Raymond (Skip) and Betty Fishback Wells of Hannibal, Mo., will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 8, with a reception hosted by their children.

  • Raymond (Skip) and Betty Fishback Wells of Hannibal, Mo., will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 8, with a reception hosted by their children.
    The have invited people to attend, requesting, “Please come and celebrate with us Sunday, June 8, between 2 and 4 p.m. at Arch United Methodist in Hannibal, Mo., for our 65th wedding anniversary.”
    They request no gifts, please.
    Betty Fishback and Skip Wells were married May 8, 1948, in Hannibal, Mo., with the Rev. Johnnie Golden officiating.
    Mrs. Wells is the daughter of the late Rueben and Elizabeth Fishback.
    Mr. Wells is the son of the late Raymond and Gladys Wells.
    The Wells’ children are Allen and Vicki Gottman of Hannibal, and Greg and Jeannie Wells, St. Louis, Mo.
    Their six grandchildren are Chris and Stacey Gottman of St. Louis, Mo., Erik and Ashley Gottman of Hannibal, Adam and Amy Ogle of Center, Mo., Jordan and Tara Wells of St. Louis, Kyle Wells of St. Louis, Kevin and Carley Koke of St. Louis.
    Their seven great-grandchildren are Walker and Trey Gottman (parent - Chris), Colton Gottman (parent - Erik), Kaelee and Mackenzie Ogle (parent - Amy), Reid Wells (parent - Jordan) and Charles Koke (parent - Carley)
    Mr. Wells retired from the Missouri State Highway Department in 1992.
    Mrs. Wells is still working with her daughter, Vicki Gottman, at Artique Frame Palette.
    The Wells enjoys traveling, fishing and attending their grandchildren’s sports.
