A. Leroy Ross, 75, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away at 4:05 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at his home.
A Memorial Service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.  Pastor Dan Jones will officiate.  
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Full Military Honors by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Mr. Ross was born September 5, 1938, in Hannibal, MO to Roy Bernard and Mary Frances Tapley Ross.
He was married to Carolyn S. Pettitt on August 16, 1957, in Hannibal, MO.  She survives.
Other survivors include 6 children, Mark L. Ross of Hannibal, MO, Angela S. Ross (Tom Harbourn) of Quincy, IL, Daniel B. Ross of Hannibal, MO, Jeri D. Pritchett (Sutro) of Hannibal, MO, Amy L. Rogers (Darren) of Hannibal, MO, and Christopher Ross of Hannibal, MO; 1 special nephew, Roy Edwards; 11 grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and 1 sister, Sheila M. Edwards.
Mr. Ross served in the National Guard. He worked as a senior project manager for KDA Holdings Inc. of Atlanta, GA. Larry also previously worked for the Missouri Inspection Bureau and as an electrician for the Hannibal Power Plant.  Mr. Ross enjoyed his work.  He loved to fish and be outdoors. Leroy liked to visit the ocean and see the dolphins.  He also loved his animals and enjoyed watching old western movies.  Mr. Ross always took exceptional pride in the care of his vehicles. Most of all Mr. Ross  loved to spend time with his family. He was a Baptist by faith.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers will be his sons; Mark Ross, Daniel Ross and Christopher Ross, and other honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Pettitt, Richard Pettitt, John Northcutt, Adam Pettitt, Darren Rogers, Michael Rogers, Tom Harbourn, and Tyler Harbourn, Sutro Tyler Pritchett and Mark C. Ross.
