  • The Northeast Missouri Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant Thursday, April 24, at the home of Steven Eugene Riney, 7530 Marion County Road 406, just outside Palmyra.
    The Task Force was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol.
    The following details were reported by the Task Force. Officers found methamphetamine lab items, meth and marijuana paraphernalia at Riney’s home.
    After leaving, officers found Riney, 54, driving a short distance from his home. Riney was found in possession of meth and meth paraphernalia. Items used to manufacture meth and meth paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.
    Riney was arrested and taken to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department on a 24-hour hold.
    On Friday, April 25, Marion County Associate Circuit Judge John Jackson issued a warrant, charging Riney with attempting to manufacture a controlled substance (Class B felony) and possession of a controlled substance (Class C felony). His bond was set at $100,000, cash only.
