  • Several drug-related arrests were reported April 17 by the Northeast Missouri Narcotics Task Force.
     April 2 arrests
     On, April 2, the Task Force assisted the Division of Child and Social Services (DCFS) with an investigation at 34 Shawnee Trail, Hannibal, Mo.
    As a result of the DCFS investigation Brian S. Ellis, 41, and Poppy L. Shoemaker, 34 Shawnee Trail,  were found in possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
    Ellis was arrested at the scene, transported to the Marion County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. Shoemaker was placed under arrest and later released.
    Also at the residence was Willis J. Gollaher, 1306 Paris Ave., Hannibal, who was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
    On April 3, the Marion County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Ellis with Possession of a Controlled Substance (a Class C Felony). Ellis has a bond set at $25,000, cash only. The warrant was issued and bond amount set by Associate Circuit Judge John J. Jackson.
     April 9 arrests
     On April 9, the Task Force assisted the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, which had conducted a traffic stop on James Wallace, 50, and Donna Waters, 48. As a result, items used to manufacture methamphetamine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were found.
    The traffic stop led to a search of Waters’ and Wallace’s residence at 24560 Highway 15, Paris, Mo. Items used to manufacture methamphetamine, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found in the residence.
    Wallace and Waters were arrested at the scene. Wallace was transported to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Waters was transported to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
    On, April 10, the Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney charged Wallace and Waters for Manufacturing a Controlled Substance (Class B Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class C Felony), and Providing Materials for the Production of a Controlled Substance (Class D Felony).
    Wallace’s bond is set at $100,000, cash only, and Waters’ bond is set at $75,000, cash only. Associate Circuit Judge Michael P. Wilson issued warrants and bonds for Wallace and Waters.
     April 15 arrests
     On Tuesday, April 15, 2014, the Task Force executed a search warrant at 1015 Bird, Apartments 2,3, and 4. As a result of the search warrant, items used to manufacture
    methamphetamine were found along with methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
    Anthony Tate, 31, and Jennifer Betts, 28, were arrested at the scene and transported to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The Task Force was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
    Josh Davis and Brian Walden arrived on the scene of the search warrant and were issued summons by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Walden also received a ticket for driving while suspended.
    Page 2 of 2 - On, April 16, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office charged Tate with Attempt to Manufacture a Controlled Substance (Class B Felony) and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute (Class B Felony).
    Jennifer Betts was charged with Unlawfully Providing Materials for Production of a Controlled Substance (Class D Felony)
    Tate’s bond is set at $100,000, cash only, and Betts’ bond is set at $25,000. Associate Circuit Judge John J. Jackson issued the warrants and bonds.
