Erma E. (Foster) Ferell, 95, of Palmyra, MO, passed away at 6:20 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2014, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra, MO.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO.   Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate.  Burial will be at Nebo Cemetery in Nebo, Illinois.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services, Thursday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ferell was born October 11, 1918, in Nebo, Illinois, to Claude Oren and Minnie May Sternes Sidwell.
She was married on April 24, 1937, to Burdett W. Foster. He preceded her in death April 3, 1970.  She later married William Ferell on April 26, 1990.  He preceded her in death April 29, 1991.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Stuart (Terry) of Quincy, IL; one daughter in law, Pat Foster of Godfrey, IL; four grandchildren, Kim Dodson of Fenton, MO, Jeff Foster of Alton, IL, Tim Foster (Samantha) of Godfrey, IL, and Christy Lovegreen (Robert) of Palmyra, MO; five great-grandchildren, Josh and Katelyn Dodson and Mikaela Foster, Andrew and Ashton Lovegreen.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Charles “Gene” Foster; 2 sisters, Fern Hall and Wanda Richmond; one brother, John O. Sidwell; and two grandchildren, Christina and Cathryn Stuart.
Mrs. Ferell worked for Bluff Shoe Factory and International Shoe Factory in Hannibal, MO.  Erma retired from Crown Shoe Factory in Palmyra, MO, in 1983.  She was a member of Clover Road Christian Church in Hannibal, MO.  She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. She also liked cooking and spending time with her family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bob Hall, Gary Hall, Gerald Sidwell, Tim Foster, Jeff Foster, and Ed Howard.
