William "Bill" Curtis Foster, 84, of Saverton, Missouri, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra, MO.

William "Bill" Curtis Foster, 84, of Saverton, Missouri, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra, MO. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Kathy Redmond will officiate. Burial with Full Military Honors by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be at Centenary Cemetery in rural Ralls County, MO. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home. Mr. Foster was born May 4, 1929, in Spalding, MO, to Roy W. and Mildred Louise Crousore Foster. He was married to Dorothy M. Glascock on February 20, 1960, in Hannibal, MO. She survives. Other survivors include 3 children, Toni R. Lake (Martin) of New London, MO, Joni B. Cattoor (Larry) of Topeka, KS, and William C. "Curt" Foster II (Melissa) of New London, MO;1 brother in law, Kenneth Glascock (Karen Sue); 2 sisters in law, Wanda Mueller (Ray) and Beth Proctor (Steve); 6 grandchildren, Cody Coose, Jessica Lake, Miranda Webster, Mikaela Webster, Camille Foster and Joshua Foster; and 4 great grandchildren, Madison Jensen, Dylan Barr, William Coose and Alexander Bryan; 1 foster grandson, Charlie Wayne Lonergan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Robert Dean Foster; and 2 sisters, Grace Houston and Mary Jane Glascock. Mr. Foster was a United States Army Veteran. He served his country during the Korean War. Bill worked as a carpet installer for many years. He liked gardening, fishing and traveling. He also enjoyed photography and drawing and was an amateur ham radio operator. Mr. Foster loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was a Christian by faith. Memorial contributions may be made to the Centenary Cemetery Association in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Royce Proctor, George Arch, Eric Mueller, Brian Wagner, Eddie Glascock and Charlie Wayne Lonergan. Honorary pallbearers will be Marlin Crousore, Ron Ingram, Gary Tatman, Bob Barnes, Bill Northcutt, Randal Meyers and Kevin Fohey.
