Bernadine “Bernie” Yount Ransdell, 55, of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 11:08 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at her sister’s home in Burleson,Texas.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Matt VerMeer will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services, Friday, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at a gathering at the Jaycees Hall,137 Jaycee Drive, Hannibal, MO, immediately following the services.
Mrs. Ransdell was born September 18, 1958, in Hannibal, MO to Robert E. and Neleta Lewis Yount.
She was married to William E. Ransdell, on September 18, 1998. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2008.
Survivors include her parents, Robert and Neleta Yount of Hannibal, MO; 2 children, Tricia Suter (T.J.) of Hannibal, MO, and Jesse Lennox of Hannibal, MO; 1 brother, Mark Yount (Brenda); 5 sisters, Kim Murphy (Greg), Lesa Ramey, Debbie McGhee (Dee), Jana Kenison (Bob), and Mindy Thomas (Blaine); 8 grandchildren, Syndney, Levi, Jameson, Dylan, Ryleigh, Baylee, Abigail and Autumn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Clarice Yount and Walter and Nellie Gregory.
Bernie had worked in home healthcare and most recently at Swiss Colony. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and rock hunting. Bernie loved spending time with her dog “Sally” and was a talented crafter. She was a Christian by faith and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hannibal, MO.
