Hazel Lucille Gilmore Jeffries, 97, of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 11:32 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, at Luther Manor Nursing Center in Hannibal, MO.
Graveside services and burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at Aker’s Chapel Cemetery in Pike County, Illinois.  
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2014, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jeffries was born May 6, 1916, in Maywood, Illinois, to Arthur “Dutch” and Edna Mae Booth Gilmore.
She was married to Hugh B. Jeffries in December of 1933, in Troy, MO.  He preceded her in death July 24, 1969.
Survivors include 3 children, Richard W. Jeffries (Sandra) of Hannibal, MO, Donna R. Mundle (Earnest) of New London, MO, and Shirley Ann Faber of Destin, FL; 1 daughter in law, Kay Jeffries of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren, Steven Mundle (Jeana), Debbie Mundle-Ehret (Chuck), Jeff Moeller, Eleanor Rowell (Mike), Mike Jeffries (Gerri Smith), Jill Arnold (Rob), and Jennifer Heimin (Dan).
She is preceded in death by 1 son, Robert Hugh Jeffries; 1 brother; Vincent Gilmore; and 1 son in law, Don Farber.
Mrs. Jeffries previously worked for many years as a factory worker, then at Western Printing and later at Levering Hospital.  In her younger years, Mrs. Jeffries enjoyed crocheting and sewing.  She also liked to make candles and loved to cook and bake, especially cakes. Hazel loved her family.  She was a Christian by faith.
