  • Hannibal Fire Department personnel and a Marion County Ambulance crew responded to Hannibal High School on Tuesday morning on the report that a student was “unresponsive.”
    The crews were dispatched at approximately 8:45 a.m. The individual was in a room on the second floor.
    Asked about the emergency, Superintendent Jill Janes said there was little she could say because of privacy considerations. She did say, “I can assure you that everything is OK.”
    Someone familiar with the situation, who spoke on the condition they not be identified, reported that the issue centered around a “sick person,” adding that the situation was not “major or urgent.”
