  • Harold G. "Pete" Dodd, 62, of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 2:07 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

  • Harold G. "Pete" Dodd, 62, of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 2:07 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.
    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Mark Burkey will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal.
    Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
    Mr. Dodd was born March 9, 1951, in Hannibal, Mo., to James F. and Pansy E. Lucas Dodd.
    He was married to Helen R. Miller on February 7, 1970, in Hannibal, Mo. She survives.
    Other survivors include three children, Emma Dooley (Dennis) of Hannibal, Mo., Christine Dodd (fiancé Darin Thrasher) of Hannibal, Mo., and Harold G. "Pete" Dodd Jr. of Hannibal, Mo.; two brothers, John and James Dodd, both of Hannibal, Mo.; six grandchildren, Britta Dooley, Bradley Thomure, Dylan Thomure, Brant Dooley, Kalyssa Dodd and Harlan Dodd; three great-grandchildren, Jordyson Bartels, Jaekyn Thomure and Noah Gibbons; one expectant great-grandchild; and his best friend, Dinky Allen.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Larry Dodd and Charles Eugene Dodd Sr.; and six sisters, Ethel and Winifred Dodd, Emma Fogle, Frances McKim, Rose Ann Owens and Elsie Watkins.
    Mr. Dodd previously worked as a crane operator and foreman at Hannibal Iron and Metal. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and watching western movies. For many years Pete loved to play in his band called the "Bear Creek Bottom Band". He also loved spending time with his family. He was a Christian by faith.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice, in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers will be Dennis Dooley, Darin Thrasher, Bo Fountain, Dylan Thomure, Devin Bartels, James Miller, Bradley Thomure, Brant Dooley and Brian Dodd.
