Jermale Miller, 38, of Ewing, has a trial scheduled for Feb. 19 in Marion County Circuit Court at Hannibal. Charged with a Class B felony drug charge, Miller is being held in the Marion County Jail at Palmyra on $100,000 cash-only bond. At Miller’s pre-trial hearing on Monday, Feb. 3, Judge Rachel Bringer Shepherd learned that a series of depositions were taken last Thursday, and that Miller’s attorney is waiting for the transcripts. The judge rescheduled the hearing for 4 p.m. Feb. 11 to allow time for the defense to review the depositions. Miller is represented by Barney S. Bier. It was noted in court that Miller rejected one plea agreement offered by the prosecutor. Judge Shepherd reminded both the defense and prosecutor that she doesn’t accept a plea agreement on the day of the trial.
