  • Boy Scouts attend Klondike

  • On the weekend of January 24-26, Boy Scouts from several cities attended the third annual winter Boy Scout Klondike, which was in the Wells Nature Area of Palmyra’s Flower City Park.

  • On the weekend of January 24-26, Boy Scouts from several cities attended the third annual winter Boy Scout Klondike, which was in the Wells Nature Area of Palmyra’s Flower City Park.
    Troops attending included 100 and 106 from Hannibal, 177 from Bowling Green, 174 from Canton and the host, Troop 161 from Palmyra. More than 30 Scouts attended, which was a record for Klondike.
    A variety of activities were conducted in a circuit rotation. The activities included Useful Camp Gadget Making, First Aid Challenge, Egg Boil Challenge, Fire Building Challenge, Orienteering Challenge, and a District Chili Champion Cook-off.
    Troop 174 won the Useful Camp Gadget contest. Troop 161 won the First Aid Challenge and Egg Boil Challenge. Fire Building and Orienteering Challenges were won by Troop 177. The District Chili Champion was Troop 100.
