  • Michael D. Hatton, Sr., 61, of Jacksonville, Fla., and formerly of Hannibal, Mo., died, Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at his home in Jacksonville, Fla.
    Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will be at Big Creek Cemetery in Rensselaer, Mo.
    Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
    Mr. Hatton was born March 31, 1952, in Hannibal, Mo., to William L. Hatton and Mary R. Cannon Hatton.
    He was married to Shirley A. Taylor on June 21, 1986, in Hannibal, Mo.  She survives.
    Other survivors include three stepchildren, Candice Hallack of Yulee, Fla., Christian Pabst of Jacksonville, Fla., Stephanie Pabst of Jacksonville, Fla., five grandchildren, two brothers, William R. Hatton (Marla) of Hannibal, Mo., Jeff Hatton of St. Louis, Mo., and many nieces and nephews.
    He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Michael Hatton, Jr.
    Mr. Hatton attended Hannibal Senior High School. He worked in the amusement industry for many years and most recently worked for Venture Vending. Michael was most passionate about his family and spent all his spare time involved with them. He volunteered his time at his grandchildren's school, scouting and sports events. Mr. Hatton was a member of The Journey Church in Fernandina, Fla. 
    Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers will be Christian Pabst, Chad Hatton, Andy Hatton, Jared Majors, Phillip Treaster, Jonathan Inman and Michael Hallack.
