A pair of Iowa residents suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle mishap Sunday morning in Marion County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident happened at 8:10 a.m. on U.S. 61 at Taylor.

A 2003 Ford Expedition was being driven south by 48-year-old Crystal J. Franklin of Davenport, Iowa. When Franklin lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered roadway it went off the left side of the road where it struck a ditch and overturned.

Franklin and her son, 19-year-old Austin A. Franklin of Davenport, Iowa, were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash. Both were transported to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., by Marion County ambulance.
