Six weeks to go and the United Way campaign sits at a solid 80% of the $577,000 goal. Campaign Chairman Mike McFarlane (BASF) recently filled local thermometers, along with Lori Dowil, General Mills United Way In-house chairman, to celebrate a major jump in the campaign with the results of General Mills and BASF campaign.  Sheer numbers of employee support and corporate gifts make these two industries key to United Way success on an annual basis.  “We are grateful for the support of our co-workers and  companies, and at the same time we realize the importance of all workplace campaigns and individual gifts that come together to provide the needed support of our funded programs,”  McFarlane stated.
