  • Justin T. Meyer, 23, of Hannibal, Mo., suffered moderate injuries in a train-truck collision at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, in rural Marion County, Mo.
    Meyer went by private auto to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He was not using a safety device at the time of the collision.
    Officers said the collision was on Marion County Road 433 south of Marion County Road 422 at a Norfolk Southern train crossing.
    The State Patrol reported Meyer was driving a 1993 Ford Ranger and failed to yield to a Norfolk Southern train driven by William T. Layton, 39, of Decatur, Ill. The crossing was marked by a sign, according to the State Patrol.
