  • Three-year-old Taylor Sparks of Palmyra, Mo., was not eager to pose for a photo with Santa on Saturday, Nov. 30, until a family member joined her. Then she was all smiles for the photo.
Taylor was among the children who arrived at the Mark Twain Museum in Hannibal, Mo., for Santa’s four-hour “meet and greet.”
She did not hesitate to join other youngsters for a group picture with Santa. Joining her were Ruby Akerson, Kennedy Fitzgerald, Ashlyn Akerson, Tanner Sparks and Marina Miller.
After meeting Santa - aka Paul Dougherty - the children had an opportunity to do Christmas crafts while eating treats and watching the movie, “Polar Express.”
Some children were too young to care about Santa, such as 2-month-old Rogan Hare of Pittsfield, Ill., who attended with his mom, Nicole Hare, and 1-year-old sister, Adryelle (Addy).
Another baby whose picture was taken with Santa was Dallas Piper, 6 months, with his parents, Anthony Piper and Aurora Morey.
Jisel Weathers, 5, and Jorie Thompson, 7, were busy coloring Christmas pictures.
