On Nov. 9, freshman and sophomore members of the Hannibal High School Academic Team competed at the Ladue High School Novice Tournament.  In the seven preliminary matches, Hannibal won all seven opponents, defeating Eureka A, Lutheran St. Charles, Marquette B and C, MICDS A, Oakville, and Webster Groves.  In the afternoon playoffs, Hannibal lost to Ladue (325-270) but defeated Washington (340-155).  Since both Ladue and Hannibal had the same record after playoffs, the two teams played a tiebreaker match to determine the tournament champion.  In that match, HHS defeated Ladue by a score of 365-165.  Pictured with their first place trophy are, from left, Parth Parikh, Logan Drebes, Pranati Parikh, Coach Michelle Conrad, Thomas Garr, William Wallace and Tim Quintanilla.
