  • The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is holding a whitetail deer management workshop for landowners and property managers from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 14 in the M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center at Mark Twain Lake Dam.

  • The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is holding a whitetail deer management workshop for landowners and property managers from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 14 in the M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center at Mark Twain Lake Dam. The workshop is free, but space is limited and participants must pre-register by Dec. 12.
    Experts from MDC and Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) will offer presentations on a variety of topics during the workshop. Issues covered will include creating and improving habitat for deer and other wildlife, deer biology, antler growth, breeding behavior, MDC cost-share opportunities, deer diseases, aging deer jawbones, and how cooperatives can help hunting.
    Lunch will be provided by the Monroe City Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited.
    The M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center is located at the south end of the Clarence Cannon Dam, 12 miles south of Monroe City off of Route J.
