Marguerite Timbrook, age 95, of Shelbina, MO, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Salt River Community Care in Shelbina. She was born on August 3, 1918, in Monroe County, MO, the daughter of Reuben Henry and Toney Belle Key Byars. On October 15, 1939, she was united in marriage to Sidney Dallas Timbrook. He preceded her in death.
Marguerite is survived by three children, Ron Timbrook and wife Sherry of Overland Park, KS, Toni Kline of Quincy, IL and Dennis Timbrook of Centralia, MO; eleven grandchildren, Bryan Timbrook, Kara Felten, Christa Tally, Parker Timbrook, Jimmy Gerry, Donnie Gerry, Amy McGee, Shawn Cumby, Justin Timbrook, Jordan Timbrook and Lindsey Timbrook; ten great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Barbara Gerry; one daughter-in-law, Candace Timbrook; one step-grandson, Michael Piedmont; one grandson-in-law, Bobby McGee; two sisters and seven brothers. Marguerite was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shelbina where she was a member of the Kum Dubl Class and sang in the choir. She also served as a 4-H leader at Lentner. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and cross stitching. Marguerite was a kind, gracious, faithful and patient lady who loved spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO with burial to follow in Shelbina Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 16, 2013, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina. Memorials may be made to the Shelbina First Baptist Church or Salt River Community Care.
