James and Rosalie Marshall will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Oct. 22, 2013.
Their daughters are hosting a card shower from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Shirley Bomar building on Munger Lane. Family and friends are invited.
James and Rosalie were married Oct. 22, 1948, by the Rev. John Golden at Golden’s home. Attending the couple were Betty Lou Hawn and Charles Nelson.
James is the son of the late Robert and Anna Marshall.
Rosalie is the daughter of the late Charles and Elva Nelson.
They are parents of six daughters, Jane Ann Hampton, Anita F. Marshall of Hannibal, Judith A. Barnes of Tennessee, Susan K. Bockelman of Michigan, Brenda L. Taylor of Saverton and Denise L. Wintjen of Macon.
They have 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
James worked for the Rubber Plant, Metropolitan Life Insurance and the Post Office. He was a self-employed contractor. He is a U.S. Navy veteran.
Rosie worked at Woolworth’s and TG&Y.
The Marshalls are members of First Assembly of God Church. He is a member of the American Legion. She was in Girl Scouts.
