Three people sustained injuries Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision west of Hannibal in Marion County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the crash happened at 3:25 p.m. on Route MM three miles west of Hannibal.
A 2005 Chrysler, driven by Richard R. Reiff, 53, of Palmyra, was southbound on County Road 437. The Chrysler attempted to cross Route MM and pulled into the path of a 2012 Hyundai operated by 22-year-old Andrew S. Oswalt-Suhovsky of Chula Vista, Calif. The Hyundai struck the Chrysler.
Reiff, who was not wearing a safety device, sustained moderate injuries. He was taken by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Also hurt were two passengers in the Hyundai - 49-year-old Deanna E. Oswalt and 23-year-old Marissa A. Reyes, both of Chula Vista, Calif. Oswalt, who was not wearing a safety device, was left with moderate injuries. Reyes, who was wearing a safety device, sustained minor injuries.
Both Oswalt and Reyes were taken by ambulance to the nearby hospital.
