Betty L. Harrison, 79, of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 3:05 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2013, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harrison was born October 11, 1933, in Quincy, Illinois, to Forby and Iva Baughman Myers.
She was married to James William Harrison Sr. on January 20, 1950, in Bowling Green, Mo. He survives.
Other survivors include six children, James William Harrison Jr., Gary Ray Harrison, Danny Lee Harrison, Kathryn Diane Elrod, Mickey Wayne Harrison and Otis Anthony “Tony” Harrison; one sister, Patricia A. Myers; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter; Nancy JoAnn Harrison; four sisters, Lola M. Mays, Helen I. McLeod, Mary E. Bolton and Dorothy L. Myers; and two brothers, Harold W. Myers and Irvin U. Myers.
Mrs. Harrison was a homemaker. She had also previously worked at Stark Brothers Nursery. Mrs. Harrison enjoyed crocheting and sewing and liked to play cards and take pictures. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Harrison was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
