  • On Monday, Sept. 30, at the Salvation Army Advisory Council Meeting in Hannibal, John Hark will be presented with a certificate, honoring him with Emeritus status on the Advisory Council.

  • On Monday, Sept. 30, at the Salvation Army Advisory Council Meeting in Hannibal, John Hark will be presented with a certificate, honoring him with Emeritus status on the Advisory Council. The meeting will take place at noon at the Senior Nutrition Center.
    Hark has served with the Salvation Army for 10 years. He was the Advisory Board chairman during the transition time when the Hannibal Corps became a service center coming under the umbrella of Quincy, Ill. Hark then became the Advisory Council chairman and played an integral part in locating and securing the current Thrift Store and Social Services office in Hannibal.
    Hark has served 41 years with the city of Hannibal and Marion County. He serves as a state certified emergency management director. He has been recognized by multiple state representatives including proclamations to honor him on the statehouse floor.
