  • If work goes as planned, Elk Fork Salt River Bridge on Missouri 154 at Mark Twain Lake will reopen on Wednesday evening, Oct. 2, after being closed for approximately 17 days.
The bridge was closed on September 16th so that rehabilitative work could be performed. The opening could be delayed by a day or two if the work does not progress as expected.
The Elk Fork Salt River Bridge is one of four bridges that will be worked on at Mark Twain Lake.
Once the first bridge opens, the South Fork Salt River Bridge on Missouri 154 is scheduled to close the following morning, Oct. 3, at 7 a.m. This bridge should be closed for approximately 25 days while the rehabilitative work is performed.
A signed detour will be marked on Missouri 15, U.S. 24 and Missouri 107.
