Donald Ray (Don) Sinclair of Sarasota, Fla., and formerly of Marseilles, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, in Sarasota, Fla.
He was born Oct. 7, 1950, in Hannibal, Mo., to J.D. Sinclair and Lola Bell (Ehret) Sinclair.
He was retired from Caterpillar of Joliet, Ill., as a mechanical engineer. He was formerly employed by Stoneybrook Golf Course in Sarasota, Fla., where he enjoyed playing his favorite sport. He was currently employed by Dimensional Imaging, Inc., of Sarasota, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fritz and Alfa (Wood) Ehret, and Delbert and Iva (Strothers) Sinclair, and his step-grandfather, Robert Jones.
He is survived by his father, J.D. Sinclair of New London, Mo., and his mother, Lola Sinclair of Seneca, Ill., his wife, Beth (Delancy) Sinclair of Sarasota, Fla., his daughter, Missey Lowe of Minooka, Ill., a daughter, Stacey (Corey) Sharisky of Streator, Ill., step-children, Mike (Katie) Price of Ottawa, Ill., and Tonya (Shawn) Smetana of Charleston, S.C., grandchildren, Madison Lowe of Ottawa, Ill., Lakin, Emilee, Lucas, Cooper and Ella Sharisky of Streator, Ill., Chris, Cameryn, Cassidy, Ethan, Aiden and Cody Price of Ottawa, Ill., Paxton Smetana of Charleston, S.C., brothers, Bob (Shirley) Sinclair of Burlington, Iowa, Delbert (Lucy) Sinclair of Palmyra, Mo., Alan (Jenny) Sinclair of Elizabethtown, Ky., Gerald (Lynn) Sinclair of Hannibal, Mo., sisters, Phyllis Paris (Carl Zupan) of Hannibal, Mo., Carol (Jim) Quinn of Wentzville, Mo., Diane Duncan (Ron Harker) of Hannibal, Mo., and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be at Fairview Cemetery in Louisiana, Mo., at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22. A carry-in will follow the service at the Lions Club in New London, Mo.
