Aaron J. Cozen, 19, and his passenger, Zachary A. Riley, 19, both of Hannibal, suffered minor injuries in a truck accident at 2 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, in rural Ralls County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Cozen went to Hannibal Regional Hospital, and Riley was to seek his own medical treatment.
Officers reported Cozen was driving a 1999 Ford F150 on U.S. 61 one mile south of Hannibal, when he swerved to avoid a deer on the highway.
The truck went off the road and hit an embankment. Cozen was not wearing a seat belt, and it was unknown if Riley was using a safety device.
